2Tim.3:16,17 - All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for showing people what is wrong in their lives [refuting error; rebuking], for correcting faults, and for teaching how to live right [training in righteousness]. Using the Scriptures, the person who serves God will be capable [competent], having all that is needed [fully equipped] to do every good work.
1) It's our manna.
Matt:4:4 - But Jesus answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”
Deu.8:3b - that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.
John 6:48-51 - "I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”
1Peter 2:1-3 - Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
1Cor.3:2 - I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal.
Heb.5:11-14 - We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are so slow to understand [hard of hearing; spiritually]. By now you should be teachers, but you need someone to teach you again the first lessons [elementary truths; basic principles] of God’s message [revelation; oracles]. You still need the teaching that is like milk. You are not ready for solid food. [For] Anyone who lives on milk is still a baby and knows nothing about [or is unskilled/inexperienced with] right teaching [or the message about righteousness]. But solid food is for those who are grown up [mature]. They are mature enough […who through practice/exercise have trained their faculties/senses] to know the difference between good and evil.
2) Whatever he does shall prosper.
Psa.1:1-3 - Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.
3) Healing through the Word.
Ps.107:20 - He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Matt.8:8 - The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
Matt.8:13 - Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.
4) Word is our weapon.
Heb.4:12 - For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Eph.6:17 - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
5) Word is our truth.
Col.1:5,6 - because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;
1Peter 1:23 - having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever.
